About RunForBurt

The Burt Clark Foundation & the annual RunForBurt 5K is in memory of Burt Clark, an avid runner who tragically transitioned this life way too soon.

Burt was committed to encouraging, inspiring, and motivating everyone he met to lead a healthier lifestyle through fitness.  He didn't just encourage, Burt competed in numerous events annually, including the Atlanta Peachtree Road Race, Calloway Gardens Triathlon/Duathlon and Omega Psi Phi- Beta Lambda Lambda's 5k/10k.  He believed everyone should "get up and move" regardless of age, gender, physical ability, or socioeconomic standing.

The annual RunForBurt Memorial 5K will continue his passion for not only inspiring and motivating a healthier lifestyle but a percentage of the proceeds received will provide two educational scholarships to a Natchitoches Central High School graduating senior and a high school graduating senior that will attend his alma mater, Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

We believe everyone can embrace a healthy lifestyle through encouragement, inspiration and motivation.

Define your future, and change your world.
